The major conceptual and infrastructural overhaul of the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort in 2014 ushered in the arrival of Anchor & Den to Grand Cayman’s restaurant scene. Anchor & Den, one of the four restaurants at the Marriott, wows diners with their inventive and flavourful menu— their Executive Chef Steve Griffon from France enjoys mixing flavours from around the globe. Signature dishes like the Braised Short Rib Gnocci and the Grilled Corvina are house favourites and their crêpes, raw seafood bar and housemade gelatos are well known to local foodies.

The menu is fresh and innovative. Locally sourced ingredients are combined with inspiration from around the globe to create fun, memorable food. Groups can choose from a range of sharing plates such as Tiger Prawns à la Plancha and Jerk Pork Poutine to share family style. Delicious entrées will also be hard to resist; with Braised Short Rib Gnocchi and Mac & Greens on offer, this really is comfort food at its best.

Anchor & Den also offer a Raw Bar. Guests can enjoy classics such as oysters, snow crab claws, ceviches, tiraditos, as well as fresh sushi and sashimi. The Crêperie, opens from 7am-10am and 6pm-10pm, and offers guests a selection of sweet or savoury crêpes whenever it takes their fancy. Sweet options include mouth-watering and innovative combinations such as the Orange & Grand Marnier, as well as the classic Banana and Nutella combination. Savoury fans can try the Spinach, Mushroom & Cheese Crêpe

The stylish, light-filled lounge has a beach-house vibe and is popular among the happy hour crowd, who enjoy the staff’s attention to detail and the ‘apothecary’ inspired cocktails. The mixologists serve up fresh, imaginative drinks infused with herbs, spices and locally grown fruit.

The exquisite housemade chocolates at Bomboneiria are available daily.
