Best Waterfront Dining 2019

With countless shades of blue surrounding all of Grand Cayman’s 20 miles, a stunning seaside view is never far from sight. Even if the French doors of your patio do not open unto the beach, you and every resident and visitor alike can enjoy a few hours of seaside dining. What truly sets Cayman apart from many of its regional neighbours is that the decadence of waterfront dining has never been dictated by ones purse size. From sleepy seaside fish shacks with five-star views, to resplendent beachfront eateries with haute ocean-to-table menus, waterfront dining in the Cayman Islands can be enjoyed by everyone.

European and New World Cuisine

Grand Old House

With delicious food, a sea breeze and thousands of twinkling lights adorning the oceanfront deck, not to mention the sound of the sea lapping under the deck, there are few restaurants that can legitimately claim to offer a taste of culture, heritage and history with beautiful surroundings. The Grand Old House is known for its charm and atmosphere, along with its waterfront setting, but it also has five elegant air conditioned private dining rooms and it has won the prestigious Wine Spectator Award every year for the past twenty-two years. Every night a Torcedor rolls cigars by hand and the bartender can then recommend the perfect liquor pairing. This colonial Petra Plantation House was built in 1908, has won numerous awards for its food, and is probably the most sought-after location for a romantic wedding in the Cayman Islands.
